Long Title:AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 11 OF THE DELAWARE CODE AND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF NEWARK RELATING TO THE ALDERMAN'S COURT.
Synopsis of Orginal Bill:
(without Amendments)
Effective December 31, 2014, this Bill closes the City of Newark Alderman’s Court by removing the authority of the Newark City Council to establish an Alderman’s Court. All cases then before the City of Newark Alderman’s Court shall be transferred to the appropriate Delaware Court that would otherwise have jurisdiction over the case.
